Fashion Designer

Louise Mak graduated from PolyU Fashion and Textile Design MA in 2021. She is now a fashion designer in a Hong Kong fashion brand.

Her work is inspired by social issues, especially gender stereotypes and inequality. Through design, she aims to bring the concept of gentleness. Her work is usually in minimalist and unisex style and timeless design.

WORK EXPERIENCE

V Visionary | Fashion Designer

1. Create seasonal sustainable fashion collections

2. Develop new trends for men’s and women’s fashion.

3. Handle local and overseas showcase and showroom: Centre Stage, Paris and Shang Hai fashion week showroom.

4. Market Research: Identify local and global fashion trends and adapt products accordingly.

5. Concept Development: Create and support design concepts with data.

6. Collaboration: Work with merchandising and factories on product development and sourcing.

7. Sample Management: Oversee sample-making progress and documentation.

1. School and company uniform design, translate design directions and concepts into practical applications.

2. Analyze the latest market trends and developments in the use of materials, trims, color, and customer needs
